Send money
Send digital dollars through WhatsApp or the web wallet. Multiple languages, two send modes, confirmations built in.
Two ways to send
You can send money through WhatsApp (just message Sippy) or the web wallet at sippy.lat/wallet. Both move real USDC -- same money, same speed, same recipient.
Sending via WhatsApp
Open your chat with Sippy and type what you want to send. Sippy understands natural language in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
Examples
English:
send 10 to +573001234567
Spanish:
enviar 10 a +573001234567
Portuguese:
enviar 10 para +573001234567
You can also send just part of the info and Sippy will ask for the rest:
send 25
Sippy will reply: "Who do you want to send it to?"
+573001234567
And it continues from there.
Confirmation
For any send above $5, Sippy asks you to confirm before executing. You'll see the amount, the recipient's phone number, and a "yes or no?" prompt. Nothing moves until you confirm.
Sends of $5 or less execute right away to keep small transfers fast.
What the recipient sees
The recipient gets a WhatsApp message from Sippy telling them they received money. The message includes the amount and a link to their wallet. If the recipient isn't on Sippy yet, see Invite someone for what happens.
Gas fees
Sippy covers the network fee (gas) for all WhatsApp sends. You send $10, the recipient gets $10. The gas cost comes from Sippy, not your balance.
Sending via web wallet
Go to sippy.lat/wallet and tap Send. Enter the recipient's phone number and the amount.
You'll see two modes:
Free gas mode
Sippy submits the transaction and covers the gas fee -- same as WhatsApp. This counts toward your daily limit.
Direct mode
You submit the transaction yourself using your connected wallet. You pay a small gas fee (typically less than $0.01 on Arbitrum). This does not count toward your daily limit, so there's no cap.
Direct mode is useful when you've hit your daily limit or want to send larger amounts without restrictions.
Quick reference
| Method | Gas fee | Daily limit applies? |
|---|---|---|
| Sippy pays | Yes | |
| Web -- Free gas | Sippy pays | Yes |
| Web -- Direct | You pay (< $0.01) | No |
