Checking your balance

On WhatsApp

Message Sippy:

balance

You'll get a reply with your current USDC balance and an approximate value in your local currency (based on your phone number's country code).

On the web

Go to sippy.lat/wallet. Your balance is displayed at the top of the page, along with the local currency equivalent.

Local currency display

Sippy shows your balance in both USDC and your local currency (Colombian pesos, Mexican pesos, Brazilian reais, etc.). The conversion is based on current exchange rates and updates automatically.

This is for reference only -- your actual balance is always in USDC. The local currency number helps you understand how much that's worth in everyday terms.

Transaction history

Your profile page shows a list of your recent transactions: sends, receives, and any pending transfers. Each entry includes:

  • Amount in USDC
  • Recipient or sender phone number
  • Date and time
  • Status (completed, pending, or returned)

Verifying on-chain

Every Sippy transfer is a real transaction on the Arbitrum network. When you make a send, Sippy includes a receipt link in the confirmation message. You can tap it to see the transaction on a public block explorer:

  • Blockscout -- detailed view with human-readable info
  • Arbiscan -- another widely used explorer

This means you never have to take Sippy's word for it. The blockchain is the receipt, and anyone can verify it.
