Get started

Set up your wallet in under 2 minutes.

Setting up Sippy takes about two minutes. All you need is your phone — the one with WhatsApp. No app to install, no documents, no crypto knowledge.

1. Open sippy.lat

Go to sippy.lat on your phone or computer. You can also start by messaging Sippy on WhatsApp — it will send you the same setup link.

2. Verify your phone number

Enter your phone number. You'll receive a 6-digit code on WhatsApp (or by SMS as a fallback). Enter it to confirm it's you. Your phone number is your account — there's no username or password to remember.

3. Your wallet is created

Sippy instantly creates a wallet tied to your phone number. It's self-custodial — yours, not ours — so only you can move the money in it. You'll see your wallet address; that's where digital dollars (USDC) land when you add funds.

4. Set your daily limit

Choose a daily limit for WhatsApp sends. Think of it as a safety cap: if someone ever got into your WhatsApp, this is the most they could move in a day. Start small — you can change it anytime, and adding a recovery email unlocks higher limits.

5. Add funds

There are a few ways to put dollars in your wallet:

  • From the Fund page — the simplest way to top up your own number.
  • Ask a friend on Sippy — have them send to your phone number; it arrives in seconds.
  • Already hold crypto? — send USDC on the Arbitrum network to your wallet address (shown on your wallet page).

Once the dollars land, you're ready to send.

6. Send your first transfer

Open WhatsApp and message Sippy:

send 10 to +573001234567

Or in Spanish:

enviar 10 a +573001234567

Sippy shows you the details and asks you to confirm. You say yes, and the money arrives in seconds — Sippy covers the network fee, so there's nothing extra to pay.
