The terms that govern your use of Sippy.
Last updated: March 2026. These terms establish the framework for Sippy's Terms of Service. Full legal terms are being finalized and will replace this document. By using Sippy, you agree to these terms as they exist at the time of use.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Sippy -- including the WhatsApp interface, web wallet, or any related services -- you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use Sippy.
Eligibility
To use Sippy, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Not be a resident of a country subject to comprehensive US, EU, or UN sanctions
- Not appear on any government sanctions list (OFAC, EU Consolidated List, or equivalent)
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
Your Account
Your Sippy wallet is tied to your phone number. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining access to your phone number
- Keeping your account credentials secure
- All activity that occurs through your wallet
Sippy is non-custodial. We do not hold your private keys. If you export your private key, you are solely responsible for its security.
Permitted Use
Sippy is designed for personal, peer-to-peer transfers of USDC on the Arbitrum network. You agree not to use Sippy for:
- Money laundering or terrorist financing
- Transactions involving sanctioned persons, entities, or countries
- Fraud, scams, or any form of deception
- Circumventing legal restrictions in your jurisdiction
- Any activity that violates applicable law
Limitation of Liability
Sippy is provided "as is." We make no guarantees about uninterrupted service, transaction speed, or network availability. Blockchain transactions are irreversible -- Sippy cannot reverse, cancel, or modify a confirmed transaction.
SIPPY, S.A. DE C.V. and its team shall not be liable for:
- Loss of funds due to user error (e.g., sending to the wrong address)
- Losses resulting from blockchain network issues outside our control
- Losses due to USDC depegging from the US dollar
- Losses from unauthorized access to your wallet resulting from compromised credentials
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of Sippy after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated through the WhatsApp interface or web wallet.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of El Salvador. SIPPY, S.A. DE C.V. is incorporated and registered in El Salvador.
